A question we hear a lot: how much should I eat at a each meal?

The “optimal” way to know how much to eat would be to allocate macronutrient ratios of carbs, proteins and fats (think of it as a food budget) and weigh & track everything you eat.

That said, the “best” option is the habit we put into place consistently.  Perhaps at this moment tracking everything you eat to the gram would be a stretch.

Enter the Plate Method.

Use this method whether you are eating out or eating at home. It will help you create a healthy, balanced meal. Fill 1/2 your plate with nonstarchy vegetables, 1/4 plate with a lean protein, and 1/4 plate with a carb source. Lastly, add a little of your favorite healthy fat option et voila!
